Legacy Software

LanSafe v. 5 supercedes LanSafe III and NetWatch. Currently, LanSafe v. 5 has been released for Windows and Linux. For details, please refer to the Operating System Support Matrix. For other operating systems, use either LanSafe III or NetWatch.

As LanSafe v. 5 is released on other operating systems, LanSafe III and NetWatch will become obsolete for those operating systems.

LanSafe III Screen Shot

During an extended power failure, LanSafe III's exclusive SafetyNet Technology enables network administrators to establish a user-defined shutdown so that the most critical equipment (such as database or file servers) is shut down last, after work in progress is saved from client workstations through hubs, switches, routers and communication servers.

With customized alerts, you can specify unique text messages associated with each alert and to which users the alerts are broadcast. For remote operation, the software initiates a pager or e-mail message to immediately notify the user of a power problem.

  NetWatch

NetWatch Clients monitor the activity of a single UPS through the ConnectUPS-X, ConnectUPS-BD or BestLink SNMP/WEB Adapter that monitors and controls it. During an extended power outage, the SNMP/WEB adapter informs all registered NetWatch Clients that it is time to shut down their respective operating systems, thus preparing them for the removal of AC power.  Up to 32 NetWatch Clients can be registered to and controlled by one SNMP/WEB Adapter.
